LA Weekly | Long Live Print
LA Weekly is the trendsetting, alternative newspaper and a linchpin in the Los Angeles community since the 80s. Fortunately for me, they were also on the Ignited client roster.
After well over a decade of proclaiming the World Wide Web will eradicate print, the death knell had begun to ring hollow. For those of us who’ve grown tired of the triteness, the LA WEEKLY was the perfect foil to put an end to the nonsense once and for all. A truly progressive voice, yet a stalwart on the convincing power of print, the LA WEEKLY is loved and respected by the creative class who reads it. It is looked to and lauded by the newspaper industry with whom it competes. Not to mention, the LA WEEKLY publishes a newspaper and a web site that work in harmony to champion insightful reporting and powerful design. So there was no better publication to help us champion the printed word in all its forms.
LLP BOOTH @ DETOUR FESTIVAL
The annual DETOUR Music Festival provided the perfect venue to get the word out, and recycle some old papers. Fans not only walked away with limited edition art, but some even sacrificed their shirts for the cause.
LOS ANGELES BOOKFAIR BOOMARK
We handed out thousands of bookmarks at the annual West Hollywood Book Fair.
DIA DE LOS MUERTOS FESTIVAL COLORPAGE
Day of the Dead? Not for print. The paper's sponsorship of a kids’ art tent at an El Día de los Muertos event inspired this branded coloring book page.
